Outdoor Watering Schedule

The current outdoor water use schedule, as designated by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) of the Department of Natural Resources, permits MWA customers to water landscapes outdoors daily from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. the next morning.  NO daily watering of landscapes is allowed between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  Landscaping activities include: planting, growing, managing, or maintaining ground cover, trees, shrubs, or other plants.

For purposes other than landscaping, such as washing cars or power washing decks or driveways, residential customers are allowed to water according to the odd-even schedule.  Odd-numbered addresses may water on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, while even-numbered addresses may water on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, with no hourly limits.
